Helichrysum essential oil comes from the Helichrysum Italicum plant, from Corsica and the south of Europe. The green parts of the plant, including stems and leaves, are used, as well as the dried flowers from the plant can also be used for medicinal purposes.
Helichrysum Italicum has a light curry-like smell. It has a sweet and delicate honeylike and tea-like aroma. The sweetness is so rich and overwhelming. The tenacity is quite outstanding though very delicate.
It is the very best essential oil for reducing inflammation, promoting the healing of wounds and burns, stimulating digestion, boosting the immune system, and soothe the body and mind.
There’s some evidence that Helichrysum may be able to reduce allergy symptoms, particularly contact dermatitis, a type of allergic rash caused by contact with an allergen.
